And so it begins…

I finally did it! I started my own blog!

It’s been a couple of years since I had this idea in mind. In fact, I once started a blog when I was 14 years old.

That lasted for one whole post.

Good riddance, it wouldn’t have been a great blog if I may say so myself. Surprisingly, problems of a whiny 14-year-old are often not that exciting.. But now I’m 22 and somehow, like my 14-year-old self, I still have that same tingle in my fingers. WebMD says I’ll either be fine or die very soon..

It’s really not like I suddenly blossomed into a skilled, talented writer. I mean, is that a tautology or no?… And truly, I understand that the world doesn’t need another amateur writer on the internet. Diaries exist to write all our insipid overemotional stories in, right?

However, luckily (?) for all of us, I’m ignoring that as a reason not to start this blog. Because to be honest, I’m overjoyed that I’m doing this. To pour out my soppy feelings straight away: This blog is kind of my dream.

It’s not going to be easy. It will take a lot of time, dedication and discipline. Few of which I actually have at the moment.  Unfortunately, I don’t really have an excuse, I’m just incredibly lazy..  More on that in my next post!

But as a millennial I have the chance (or to be overdramatic: the obligation) to follow my dreams, so I guess I’ll just have to find those traits somewhere. Therefore as a promise to you, but mostly to myself: I will regularly update this blog and take care of it as if it’s my real living baby. If it dies, I guess it’s a clear sign to never have children.

I will write and update weekly, for at least a year. Let’s see what happens.

I am excited, hope you are too 🙂 If you want to follow my blog and feed my dedication, go ahead and leave a comment under my posts. I’d love to hear it!
